Blue Raster, LLC in Arlington, VA seeks a Senior GIS Analyst with strong programming skills to analyze spatial data and build modern web GIS applications for clients and global missions.

You will work both independently and with a collaborative team, deliver production‑quality Python pipelines, lead ArcGIS workflows, mentor junior analysts, and communicate progress to clients. This role offers growth opportunities and a culture of continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional GIS experience.
• Advanced proficiency with Esri ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Proficient Python development using ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python; NumPy and Pandas.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, assess risks, and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of Python-based data pipelines for geospatial data.
• Develop ArcGIS Online Hosted Notebooks, ArcGIS Pro Toolboxes, and Geoprocessing services.
• Lead database architecture decisions for enterprise relational and spatial systems.
• Deliver production-quality code with Git/GitHub, code reviews, and release management.
• QA and debugging to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability of solutions.
• Give live demos and client presentations showcasing workflows and outcomes.
• Collaborate with clients to define requirements and translate them into technical specs.
• Serve as technical lead on select engagements.
• Mentor junior analysts and foster knowledge-sharing.
