Job summary

City of Raleigh’s Raleigh Water division seeks an experienced Senior GIS Analyst to lead editing workflows and assure data integrity across utility systems. You will mentor staff, shape best practices, and contribute hands-on to editing, analysis, and mapping.

The role requires deep ArcGIS expertise, including ArcGIS Utility Network and Indoors, drone/LiDAR/GPS data collection, and collaboration with operations and planning teams to deliver reliable geospatial solutions for the community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in GIS-related field; 3–5 years GIS data management experience.
• Equivalent combination of training/experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of GIS data editing workflows to support utility network data management.
• Provide guidance and establish best practices for GIS data editing, attribution, and QA/QC processes.
• Support the editing, validation, and maintenance of utility network datasets.
• Assist in configuring, editing, and maintenance of ArcGIS Indoors GIS data for vertical asset management.
• Support GIS data collection using drone, LiDAR, and GPS technologies, including processing and integration of collected data.
• Perform spatial analysis to support operational and planning needs; produce high-quality static and dynamic map products for stakeholders.
• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and training for GIS and non-GIS users.
• Perform other duties as required.
