Job summary

Cloudpoint Geospatial is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to lead hands-on ArcGIS Utility Network data migration projects, assess legacy data, and configure the Utility Network. This role serves as our in‑house expert, resolving complex data issues and building repeatable migration workflows for the Infrastructure & Utilities team.

An ideal candidate will have hands-on Utility Network experience, be detail-oriented, analytical, and able to explain technical concepts clearly to coworkers and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years GIS experience, preferably with utility projects.
• 2+ years hands-on ArcGIS Utility Network experience, including participation in at least one Utility Network data migration.
• Strong proficiency with ArcGIS Pro; working knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise.
• Solid understanding of geodatabase design, data modeling, and network connectivity concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with close attention to detail.
• Ability to clearly document technical processes and teach them to others.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with project managers and technical teams.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical work on Utility Network data migration projects from assessment to go-live.
• Assess legacy utility data for gaps, errors, and connectivity ahead of migration.
• Clean and prepare data for migration with attribute standardization.
• Map legacy schemas to Esri Utility Network models and configure asset packages.
• Load data into the Utility Network using Esri tools, Python, or FME.
• Configure network topology, subnetworks, and trace configurations.
• Publish and configure Utility Network services in ArcGIS Enterprise and Field Maps.
• Develop QA/QC processes and standardized migration workflows.
• Train and mentor GIS staff on Utility Network concepts.
• Coordinate with project managers on scope, estimates, schedules, and hours.
• Lead client sessions and provide post-migration support.
• Stay current with Esri technology updates.
