Job summary

Raleigh Water, a division of the City of Raleigh, is seeking a Senior GIS Analyst to enhance and standardize GIS data editing workflows across its utility data. The role provides technical guidance, establishes best practices, and ensures high-quality data for operations and planning.

You will mentor GIS staff, work with ArcGIS Pro/Enterprise/Online, and support field data collection using drone and LiDAR. Water utilities domain familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Computer Science, GIS, Surveying, or related field.
• 3–5 years GIS data management experience.
• Equivalent combination of training/experience accepted.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of GIS data editing workflows.
• Guide best practices for data editing, attribution, and QA/QC processes.
• Support editing, validation, and maintenance of utility network datasets.
• Assist in configuring ArcGIS Indoors for vertical asset management.
• Support data collection using drone, LiDAR, and GPS and integrate data.
• Perform spatial analysis to support operations and planning.
• Produce high-quality maps for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and training for GIS users.
• Perform other duties as required.
