AECOM is seeking an accomplished geomechanics professional to contribute to and grow our advanced numerical modeling consulting practice with a focus on open pit mining, underground mining, tunneling, tailing storage facilities, mine waste facilities, and other complex geotechnical projects.

This role combines hands-on numerical modeling, technical leadership, business development, and team development responsibilities.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or related field; 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Valid U.S Driver’s License.

Responsabilités

• Lead and personally execute advanced numerical modeling analyses using FEM, FDM, discontinuum, dynamic, and coupled-process methods for mining and geotechnical systems.
• Develop model strategies, calibration methods, validation procedures, and QC standards.
• Support engineering teams with numerical modeling insights informing evaluations, risk assessments, and decisions.
• Advance capabilities through innovation, automation, machine learning, and new computational methods.
• Lead business development and identify opportunities for advanced modeling services across mining and geotechnical sectors.
• Expand the firm's numerical modeling portfolio through proposals, client advisory, and staff development.
• Mentor engineers in numerical modeling methodologies and application of results.
