Job summary
Shannon & Wilson Inc. seeks a Senior to Principal-Level Geotechnical or Civil Engineer to lead underground services practice. You will guide technical direction, supervise engineers, and coordinate large-scale tunnel and pipeline projects, ensuring adherence to codes and client requirements.
The role requires strong communication and mentoring skills. Ideal candidates bring 14–20+ years of geotechnical/civil experience, a PE license, and the ability to travel as needed to Shannon & Wilson
Qualifications
- BS in Civil Engineering or related discipline required; MS/PhD strongly preferred.
- 14–20+ years of Geotechnical or Civil Engineering experience.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state where the office is located.
Responsibilities
- Guide direction of underground practice area and provide high-end services to clients, upholding best practices.
- Design and organize underground services resources for tunnels, large diameter pipelines, and related civil works.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
- Review reports and coordinate designs with subsurface conditions; ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead and mentor engineers and staff; supervise multiple projects and clients.
- Support business development; assist in cost proposals and client presentations.
