Job summary

Shannon & Wilson Inc. seeks a senior geotechnical/civil engineer to advance underground services capabilities. You will lead design, cost estimation, and coordination across offices, driving high-end services for roadways, rail, and utilities.

You will mentor engineers, manage multiple projects, and support business development while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance in all phases.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of practice.
• Extensive geotechnical or civil engineering experience (14–20+ years).

Responsibilities

• Guide underground practice direction and deliver high-end client services.
• Design and organize underground resources for large-scale projects.
• Prepare drawings, specifications, calculations, and cost estimates.
• Review reports and coordinate with subsurface data.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and standards.
• Lead design reviews and project meetings; mentor staff.
