Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to work on challenging infrastructure and site projects across the US Pacific Northwest and beyond. You will join a growing internal geotechnical team, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with our geotechnical, geohazard, geomorphology, and materials testing experts.

The role requires travel to project sites regionally and nationally, strong communication, and a proven ability to lead design tasks, prepare technical reports,

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years of work experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• Oregon and/or Washington professional engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment by comity.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work safely.
• Lead projects, proposals, design tasks and oversee design calculations as required.
• Manage projects and tasks with 1–10 engineers and geologists.
• Develop technical reports including geotechnical data and feasibility reports.
• Lead preparation of design drawings and specifications (30%, 60%, 90%, 100%).
• Mentor and train junior staff and build succession plans.
