Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to work in Oregon or Washington offices. This role involves leading diverse geotechnical projects across infrastructure, industrial, and redevelopment sectors, with opportunities to mentor teams and collaborate across U.S.

Qualifications

12 to 15 years' work experience in geotechnical engineering.
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
Oregon and/or Washington professional engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment by comity.

Responsibilities

Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
Work with engineers, geologists, and scientists to solve project challenges, leading projects, proposals, design tasks and overseeing design calculations as required.
Manage a variety of projects spanning transportation, residential, commercial, and industrial developments and linear geohazard work.
Mentor, coach, and train less experienced professionals to encourage growth and succession.
Lead the preparation of technical reports including geotechnical data reports, baseline reports, field reports, memoranda, and feasibility studies.
