Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to lead diverse geotechnical projects across infrastructure, buildings, and energy sectors. You will mentor teams, collaborate with multidisciplinary design groups, and advance project solutions while traveling regionally to project sites.

The role emphasizes independent work, senior mentorship, and development of project-specific geotechnical reports and analyses. Portland/Seattle area travel is common within WA/OR.)

Qualifications

• Experience in geotechnical engineering projects.
• Willing to travel regionally and nationally.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and geotechnical software.
• Ability to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience reviewing internal projects and designs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical projects across multiple sectors.
• Mentor and train team members; oversee design calculations and reports.
• Coordinate with engineers, geologists, and scientists to solve project challenges.
• Develop technical reports, baselines, field reports and feasibility assessments.
• Contribute to design drawings and specifications through different design stages.
