Job summary

Hillis-Carnes Engineering Associates, Inc. seeks a mid- to senior-level geotechnical engineer, P.E., to join our Frederick, MD team. The role covers geotechnical, testing, and monitoring projects primarily in MD/VA with collaboration across offices.

Responsibilities include managing projects, preparing reports and proposals, and providing technical support to other project managers. Travel to various sites is required; a strong client-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in MD/Northern VA geotechnical reports
• P.E. license required
• Strong communication and computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, AutoCAD)

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical engineering projects from start to finish including technical reports
• Prepare proposals, cost estimates, plans, specs and client communications
• Support other project managers/engineers in the region and travel as needed
• Ensure safety standards and high quality deliverables
