Job summary

ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC in Frederick, MD is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Senior Project Manager to lead key client projects from the Frederick office. You will oversee project execution, provide technical oversight, ensure quality, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires 5+ years in geotechnical engineering, PE or PG licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months), and strong leadership, communication, and business development skills. Salary range $90,000-$120,000.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) required; if not licensed, ability to obtain within three months of hire.
• BS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar.
• MS in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, or similar (preferred).
• Experience leading and developing engineering teams.
• Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
• Business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full lifecycle of geotechnical engineering projects.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and plans.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and engineering calculations.
• Supervise field exploration programs and interpret geotechnical data from boring layouts, utility clearances, and laboratory tests.
• Perform technical review of engineering designs, drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior engineers and project managers.
• Assist with business development through community involvement and client engagement.
• Promote company values, positive culture, and high employee engagement.
