Job summary

Baird is seeking a highly motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team, specializing in marine nearshore, coastal, and hydraulic infrastructure projects. You will apply your solid geotechnical background to planning, design, and implementation of ports, waterfronts, and coastal restoration.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage data campaigns, review reports, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across offices.

Qualifications

MS/ME in geotechnical engineering or related field.
10+ years of geotechnical experience in marine, coastal, or hydraulic projects.
Professional engineer (P.E. or P.Eng.) registered; multi-state is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as SME within multi-disciplinary, distributed project teams.
Provide geotechnical design support for marine, coastal, and hydraulic infrastructure projects.
Develop, manage, and supervise geotechnical and geophysical data acquisition campaigns.
Prepare and review geotechnical work scopes, proposals, and engineering reports.
Conduct independent QA reviews of historical reports for siting ports and marine terminals.
Mentor and provide technical oversight for junior and mid-level engineers.
Collaborate across multiple offices and time zones.
Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
