Baird is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team, focusing on marine nearshore, coastal, and hydraulic infrastructure. The ideal candidate brings a strong geotechnical foundation, experience communicating complex earth-water-structure interactions, and a track record of leading projects from start to finish.

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree in geotechnical engineering (MSc/MEng, PhD preferred).
  • 10+ years of geotechnical experience in marine/coastal projects.
  • P.E. or P.Eng. registration required.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with multi-office teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical design for marine and hydraulic projects.
  • Manage data acquisition campaigns and campaigns logistics.
  • Prepare geotechnical scopes, proposals and reports.
  • Review historical reports for siting ports and marine terminals.
  • Oversee project delivery from concept to completion.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical oversight.
  • Collaborate across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Contribute to proposals and client presentations.
