Job summary

GeoEngineers is seeking a Project Geotechnical Engineer in Seattle to manage complex transportation projects across the Western United States. You will oversee field explorations, perform analyses, and lead technical reports while mentoring junior engineers and field technicians.

Strong client communication and budgeting skills are essential. Qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree, a Geotechnical focus preferred, 4+ years' experience, and a PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Geotechnical preferred.
• 4+ years of relevant experience.
• At least 2 years of project management experience.
• PE license required.
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong professional verbal and written communication.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead or coordinate field exploration programs per AASHTO and local requirements.
• Mentor and train junior staff.
• Perform engineering analyses and calculations.
• Prepare and review technical reports and figures.
• Manage project tasks: meetings, budget, schedule, staffing, deliverables, proposals.
