Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to lead diverse geotechnical projects across sectors in our Oregon/Washington offices. You will mentor teams, manage multiple projects, and collaborate with geotechnical, geohazard, geomorphology, and materials testing experts across the US and Canada.

The role requires travel to project sites regionally and occasionally nationally, plus strong skills in report writing and design calculations.

Qualifications

• 12 to 15 years' work experience in geotechnical engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university; Master’s preferred.
• Oregon and/or Washington professional engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain within 3 months of employment by comity.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
• Lead projects, proposals, design tasks and oversee calculations with engineers and geologists.
• Manage projects and tasks with the assistance of 1 to 10 engineers and geologists.
• Lead the preparation of technical reports including geotechnical data reports and design reports.
• Grow internal and external networks to enhance Stantec reputation and identify talent.
