Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to work from our Oregon or Washington offices. You will lead challenging geotechnical projects, mentor staff, and collaborate with internal design teams across the US and Canada.

Travel to project sites will be required, and you will contribute to reports, design tasks, and evaluations. The role offers growth within a multidisciplinary environment, opportunities to develop geotechnical strategies, and the chance to advance

Qualifications

12 to 15 years' work experience in geotechnical engineering.
Oregon and/or Washington professional engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain within 3 months by comity.
Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and staff.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Willingness to travel regionally and occasionally nationally.

Responsibilities

Lead projects and proposals, oversee design calculations and prepare technical reports.
Manage a range of projects across transportation, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
Mentor and train engineers and geologists while growing a regional team.
Develop design drawings and specifications at multiple design stages.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Perform numerical analyses using FLAC, PLAXIS, Phase2, SEEP/W, SLOPE/W.
