Job summary

Stantec in Portland, Oregon, seeks an experienced Professional Geotechnical Engineer to lead geotechnical projects across transportation, infrastructure, and energy sectors. You will mentor teams and collaborate with multidisciplinary design professionals to deliver robust solutions.

Travel regionally and nationally, develop technical reports, and contribute to design packages while upholding safety, quality, and client service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Oregon and/or Washington PE license preferred or ability to obtain within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines.
• Lead projects, proposals, design tasks, and oversee calculations.
• Manage projects across transportation, residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
• Mentor and train less experienced professionals.
• Lead preparation of technical reports and design qualifications.
• Contribute to design drawings and specifications at various design stages.
• Promote collaboration across geographies and business lines.
• Travel to project sites regionally and nationally.
