BUNNELL LAMMONS ENGINEERING is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Geotechnical Group in Florida. The role focuses on leading complex geotechnical projects, mentoring junior staff, and expanding capabilities for municipal, industrial, residential, and commercial clients.

The position emphasizes independent, collaborative work in a fast-paced consulting environment, with travel up to 10% for field and client activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering with geotechnical focus is required.
• Master's degree is preferred.
• 6–8 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in SC or NC with rapid licensure in additional southeastern states is expected.
• Knowledge of geotechnical design, geosynthetics, and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for site meetings and client development.
• Strong written and verbal communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical investigations including site reconnaissance, drilling oversight, sampling, and field data collection.
• Prepare technical reports, maps, and client presentations with accurate data interpretation.
• Manage multiple projects, budgets, schedules, and deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and provide technical direction to project teams.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety standards across projects.
