Job summary

American Engineering Testing Inc is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Fargo, ND, with the option to base in Williston, Dickinson, Sheridan, Bismarck, Grand Forks, Fargo, or Rapid City. The role involves coordinating project testing services, directing multi-disciplinary teams, and advancing department and company goals.

Responsibilities include client interaction, budget management, field testing coordination, and preparing geotechnical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geological Engineering with 10+ years of related experience.
• Advanced degree in Civil (Geotechnical or related) Engineering with 8+ years of related experience (preferred).
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
• Ability to obtain registration in other States, as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage simple to complex projects and direct a project team, including client interaction, work scheduling, data interpretation, budget, invoicing and quality control.
• Perform engineering observations/judgments of geostructural activities, including higher-difficulty jobs.
• Prepare formal geotechnical engineering reports with recommendations.
• Coordinate and assign staff for field testing.
• Critically review, edit, and sign technical reports and correspondence.
