Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) is seeking a Field Engineer to assist engineers in field duties, perform laboratory testing, and observe construction materials in project environments.

The role is fully onsite at Williston, ND or Dickinson, ND, with potential relocation and daily travel to regional sites. Ideal candidates may relocate prior to start date and have 0–3 years of related experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE).

Responsibilities

• Perform field and laboratory quality control testing of soils per QA/QC procedures.
• Conduct geotechnical field testing, soil boring layout/documentation, and surveying.
• Complete field sampling of materials, including coring and hand auger borings.
• Operate and maintain GPR, FWD, and Geoprobe units.
• Log and classify soil samples in field or lab and assist training of staff.
• Prepare detailed reports and documents field observations.
