Job summary

American Engineering Testing (AET) seeks a Field Engineer to support civil/geotechnical projects in Fargo, ND. You will perform field observations, collect samples, and assist with laboratory testing while preparing detailed reports and maintaining QA standards.

We value teamwork, growth, and a safety-focused mindset; travel within the regional area is required. EIT preferred; bachelor's degree in Civil/Geological Eng. is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geological, or related Engineering field.
• 0-3 years of experience in an engineering or science related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) and ability to achieve professional registration (PE) preferred.
• Internship or previous work experience preferred, but not mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Field and Laboratory Work: conduct geotechnical field testing and laboratory tests.
• Performance of Work/Report Preparation: prepare field and lab reports and site visit documentation.
• Client interaction: communicate with clients to determine project needs.
• Safety and QA: maintain QA standards and safety policies while collecting data.
