Job summary

BLE is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineering Consultant to advance our Regional Geotech Group, serving long-term clients and expanding capabilities while fostering collaboration and leadership.

You will work on projects in solid waste, mining, and power sectors, including exploration, design support, site operations, hazard mitigation, and slope stability improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus (Master's preferred).
• 10–25 years of relevant professional experience.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in South Carolina or North Carolina, with ability to become licensed in additional southeastern states within six months.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% within the southeastern US.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight, project management, client management, and business development for the Regional Geotech Group.
• Mentor staff and project engineers within the geotechnical group.
• Cultivate strategic partnerships to drive growth and enhance market position.
• Review proposals and participate in business development activities to identify new revenue streams.
• Review written reports and ensure quality and BLE standards.
