Job summary

Terracon is seeking a mid-level Geophysicist to perform a comprehensive range of geophysical technologies in support of geologic, groundwater, environmental, engineering, and materials testing investigations.

You will conduct non-invasive surveys, perform borehole logging, and provide interpretations of subsurface conditions that inform infrastructure projects and environmental assessments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geophysics is required.
• 3–5 years of experience; Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Conduct geophysical surveys and analyze results.
• Develop written proposals for clients for small and large projects.
• Supervise field staff and oversee data collection.
• Interpret complex geophysical data and compile written reports.
