Job summary

Terracon is seeking a mid-level Geophysicist to perform a comprehensive range of geophysical surveys and logging in boreholes to image subsurface conditions. You will define survey objectives, design approaches, analyze data, and interpret results for infrastructure projects and environmental assessments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Geology or Geophysics with 3–5 years of experience; a Master’s is preferred. Travel to sites and supervision of field staff may be involved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geophysics required or equivalent experience.
• Experience: minimum 3–5 years in geophysics or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and participate in pre-task planning.
• Integrate quality leadership into daily regimen.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Conduct geophysical surveys on medium to large projects with varying complexity.
• Collaborate with senior geophysicists on larger projects.
• Perform site visits, data collection, and field observations.
• Develop written client proposals and perform QC on others' proposals.
• Evaluate complex geophysical data and prepare written reports.
• May lead meetings with clients and oversee junior staff.
• Work under supervision of Terracon Authorized Project Reviewer.
