Job summary

Terracon is seeking a Mid-level Geophysicist to perform a comprehensive range of geophysical technologies for geologic, groundwater, environmental, engineering, and materials testing investigations. You will conduct non-invasive surveys, log boreholes, and interpret results to support infrastructure projects and environmental assessments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geophysics with 3-5 years of experience; Master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or Geophysics required.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in geophysics.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history may be required.
• Certification in field of expertise per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.
• Integrate quality leadership practices into daily regimen.
• Provide consistent quality standards on proposal and project delivery.
• Conduct geophysical surveys on medium to large projects with varying complexity.
• Collaborate with senior geophysicists on larger projects.
• Perform site visits, field observations and data collection.
• Direct and supervise field staff in sampling and data collection.
• Develop written client proposals and perform QC of peers’ proposals.
• Evaluate complex geophysical data and compile written reports.
• Participate in meetings with clients regarding projects/tasks.
