Job summary
RESPEC seeks an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice across North America. You will lead geochemical characterization programs, predictive modeling, and biogeochemical treatment projects while mentoring junior staff and supporting business development.

Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing technical consulting projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
- Direct lab and field investigations of mine waste, water & biogeochemical processes.
- Interpret geochemical, environmental, hydrogeologic, and biogeochemical data.
- Lead predictive geochemical and hydrogeochemical modeling studies.
- Oversee lab testing design, execution, and interpretation.
- Review analyses and deliverables by junior/mid staff.
- Prepare technical reports and client deliverables.
- Ensure technical quality and consistency across projects.
- Publish findings and present at conferences.
