Job summary

RESPEC seeks an experienced Geochemist to provide technical leadership within our mining geochemistry and biogeochemistry consulting practice. This role leads complex projects, mentors junior staff, and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams across North America.

The position is open to candidates in the United States and Canada with flexible remote or office-based arrangements. Periodic travel will be required to support client engagements, field activities, and in-person collaboration as

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Geochemistry, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in mining geochemistry or environmental consulting.
• Demonstrated expertise in managing technical consulting projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead geochemical characterization programs for mining projects.
• Direct laboratory and field investigations related to mine waste and biogeochemical processes.
• Interpret geochemical datasets and conduct predictive modeling studies.
• Mentor and develop junior staff and support recruitment.
• Ensure safety and quality across projects.
• Represent RESPEC at industry conferences and client engagements.]
