Job summary

GC&E Systems seeks an experienced Senior Security Solutions Specialist to design, configure, and optimize Genetec-based security platforms at a major Tampa/St. Petersburg client site.

You’ll lead integration across access control, video, intercom, and related subsystems, delivering hands-on installation, commissioning, and ongoing support with a focus on reliability and security. The role requires strong Genetec expertise, 10+ years in security systems, and proven project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience in electronic security.
• Genetec certification required; advanced Genetec training strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Access Control, Video Surveillance, and integrated security systems.
• Deep knowledge of system programming, database structures, and IP-based security architectures.
• Strong project management capabilities with ability to lead technical workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IP networking skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver high-quality customer support.
• Experience with CAD basics and database fundamentals is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design, configuration, and integration.
• Coordinate commissioning, testing, and technical delivery for on-site deployments.
• Conduct site surveys and develop design recommendations.
• Provide on-site visits and coordinate with end users and GC&E teams.
• Troubleshoot complex hardware, software, networking, and integration issues.
• Deliver end-user and administrator training for ongoing adoption.
• Produce system documentation, configuration records, and technical reports.
• Support upgrades, expansions, and lifecycle planning.
