Job summary

GC&E Systems seeks an experienced Senior Security Solutions Specialist to deploy, configure, and optimize Genetec-based security systems at a Tampa/St. Pete client site.

You will lead end‑to‑end design, integration, commissioning, and ongoing support for access control, video, intercom, and related subsystems. As the trusted technical expert, you will guide customers and GC&E teams through complex deployments, deliver trainings, and ensure secure, reliable operation in mission‑critical

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or equivalent professional experience.
• Genetec certification required; advanced Genetec training strongly preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in Access Control, Video Surveillance, and integrated security systems.
• Deep knowledge of system programming, database structures, and IP-based security architectures.
• Strong project management capabilities with the ability to lead technical workstreams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong IP networking skills and proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver high-quality customer support.
• Experience with systems design, CAD basics, and database fundamentals is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate with diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead system design, configuration, integration, and optimization of Genetec-based security platforms.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, and acceptance to ensure operational readiness.
• Provide on-site guidance to users, technicians, and stakeholders.
• Deliver end-user and administrator training for proper system operation.
• Produce accurate system documentation and technical reports.
• Support project managers with design validation, commissioning updates, and lifecycle planning.
