Job summary

QCIC is seeking an experienced Physical Security Application Engineer (Genetec expert) to lead and deliver enterprise security deployments across client sites in NY, NJ or Pittsburgh. The role requires five days per week on-site at client offices, with occasional travel as needed.

The successful candidate will oversee programming, testing and commissioning, manage migrations from legacy systems, and provide expert troubleshooting across access control and CCTV projects.

Qualifications

• Certification in Genetec Security Center (including Synergis and Omicast).
• Experience with enterprise security systems design, deployment and migrations.
• Proficiency with ICT infrastructure, networking and hosting.
• Strong written and verbal communication, able to work in a global team.

Responsibilities

• Act as SME for the Genetec system across projects.
• Support enterprise level application implementations and migrations from legacy systems.
• Oversee commissioning documentation and final sign-off for projects.
• Maintain commissioning folders for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor bulletins and advise on mitigations with technical support.
• Ensure projects meet requirements, design, deployment within deadlines and budget.
• Serve as main technical and operational escalation point.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary global team.
• Prepare weekly incident and downtime reports aligned to client needs.

Physical Security Application Engineer (Genetec expert)

We are seeking an experienced security application engineer to play a pivotal role within a global client team. You will oversee and drive the successful mobilisation and delivery of access control and CCTV projects across the client's portfolio. This position will involve supporting enterprise-level application implementations, managing migrations from legacy systems, and providing expert troubleshooting. The ideal candidate must excel in multitasking and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. This is an on-site role, based in a client office in NY, NJ or PGH requiring five days per week on-site presence. Occasional travel, may be necessary.

What You Will Do

• Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for the Genetec system
• Supporting enterprise level application implementations, including programming, testing and commissioning, and project completion activities
• Supervise and oversee documentation for the commissioning process and ensure final sign-off
• Manage and maintain the commissioning folders for each project, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Monitor technical bulletins and liaise with the technical support functions to manage any known issues that could affect the specific product lines and provide management with advice on recommended mitigations.
• Responsible for ensuring that system projects are completed, from requirements gathering, and system/solutions design, through to deployment within agreed deadlines, within budget, and any potential issues escalated in line with internal policy while maintaining the client’s best interests.
• Act as the main point of escalation technically and operationally.
• Work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary global team.
• Prepare and deliver accurate weekly reports covering incidents, downtime, and business impact across all platforms, in alignment with the client lead requirements.
• Provide communications within the group and actively participate in meetings.
• Continually ensure that practices, policies, strategy, and services represent the client's and the Company's best interests.

What We Are Looking For

• Experienced and certified in Genetec Security Center including Synergis and Omicast
• Experienced and certified in Software House applications in beneficial
• A high level of proficiency and expertise relevant to the design, deployment, and management of integrated enterprise physical and technical security systems. This will include a comprehensive understanding of ICT Infrastructure, hosting arrangement, and networks.
• Proven record of working on successful physical security system implementations/migrations, capable of delivering quality solutions and outcomes within complex and time-sensitive environments.
• Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite including Planner, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• The ability to identify and meet project deadlines and deliverables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both internal and external parties.
