Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems seeks a Security Technology Specialist to administer Genetec Security Center, manage access control systems, and maintain IP camera infrastructures. You will oversee software updates, audit trails, and documentation for compliance across multiple sites.

The role requires hands-on technical capability with Genetec platforms, hardware troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors on installations and upgrades.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with physical security systems in a corporate or industrial environment.
• Genetec Security Center experience required with certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience with IP camera systems and physical security networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary administrator and SME for Genetec Security Center (Omnicast VMS and Synergis ACS).
• Configure, maintain, and optimize access control hardware including door controllers and card readers.
• Configure and maintain IP camera systems; manage video storage and retention policies.
• Execute access control changes: cardholder management, access level assignments, schedule configurations.
• Perform software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades for Genetec platform and hardware.
• Develop and maintain system documentation including network diagrams and change logs.
• Conduct regular system audits to verify access control integrity and camera coverage.
• Troubleshoot system faults and coordinate with Genetec support.
