Job summary

Florida Power & Light Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as a Generator Subject Matter Expert for the Electrical Fleet Team. You will apply advanced electrical engineering principles to fossil and nuclear assets, leading generator strategies across a multi-OEM fleet.

The role requires independent technical judgment, RCA leadership, and direct communication with executive leadership on findings and plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 4+ years of experience in operation, diagnostics, design, testing and repair of large turbine generators across multiple OEM platforms.
• Experience with nuclear generating facilities outages and QA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Acts as technical liaison on generator and auxiliary system matters with independent technical decisions.
• Leads RCA, failure mode determination and countermeasure development.
• Presents findings, RCAs, and implementation plans to executive leadership.
• Develops and maintains technical specifications, procedures, and PM program criteria.
• Evaluates site operational problems and performs system aging analysis.
• Prepares technical reports and executive summaries to support fleet decisions.
