Job summary

NextEra Energy is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to serve as a Generator Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Electrical Fleet Team. The role focuses on large turbine generators across fossil and nuclear assets with independent technical judgment and leadership in fleet-wide strategies.

The position requires experience with RCA, outage planning, and communication with executive leadership on findings and plans, affecting fleet reliability and asset performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years of experience in operation, diagnostics, design, testing, and repair of large turbine generators across multiple OEM platforms

Responsibilities

• Plans and develops engineering projects with unique or controversial complexities
• Acts as technical liaison with responsibility to act independently on technical matters
• Completes assignments in broad terms concerning general objectives and limitations
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned
• Leads RCA analysis and prepares executive summaries
