Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. seeks a Generator Engineer III, Field Outage Services, to provide senior technical leadership for maintenance and repair of turbine generators and related equipment. The role involves mentoring, procedure development, and cross-functional collaboration with frequent travel.

The position emphasizes diagnosing complex generator issues, directing testing, and delivering customer-facing technical authority while advancing safety and reliability across outages.

Formación

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field and typically ten+ years of related experience.
• Technical Experience: large generators, electrical testing, failure analysis, and suspect auxiliary interfaces.
• Problem Solving: resolve complex issues and lead field execution in high-pressure environments.
• Engineering Leadership: interpret drawings/data and translate to field direction.
• Communication: lead multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical information clearly.
• Computer Skills: proficiency with Microsoft 365 and engineering/test software.

Responsabilidades

• Lead on-site and remote technical support for generator installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair.
• Direct advanced generator testing and interpretation of results.
• Provide engineering leadership during inspections and high-risk repairs.
• Diagnose conditions affecting generator components and establish corrective actions.
• Review field reports, plans, and procedures within authority.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to lessons learned and training.
