Mitsubishi Power Americas is seeking an Engineer I, Field Outage Services to perform and support field engineering during turbine outages and related maintenance. The role requires travel ~70% and extended hours during outage windows, with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork.

Responsibilities include installing, servicing, and troubleshooting steam and gas turbines and auxiliaries, coordinating with customers and vendors, and documenting field activities using standard procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology; 8+ years in power plant ops or turbine maintenance.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and work scopes.
• Experience with scheduling and project management tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication across organizational levels.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates core competencies: action oriented, change champion, customer-focused, developing self & others, ownership.
• Perform standard field engineering tasks during turbine outage maintenance.
• Direct and assist in installation, repair, and analysis of turbines, generators, and auxiliaries.
• Travel extensively (≈70%) to customer sites and work extended hours during outages.
• Interface with customers and vendors on technical matters and document field activities.
