GE Vernova seeks a Lead Generator Design Liaison Engineer to bridge design and manufacturing on the Pensacola, FL shop floor. This role drives producibility improvements and resolves design-to-manufacturing issues across generator components, mentoring junior engineers and supporting product lifecycle execution.

The position requires presence on the production floor with exposure to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts, focusing on Rotor, Armature core, winding, laminations, and bars across 50 Hz/60 Hz

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of large generator components and manufacturing processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional technical problem-solving efforts.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action methodologies.
• Understanding of production planning, quality systems, and factory floor constraints.

Responsabilités

• Serve as the primary technical interface between generator design engineering and manufacturing on the factory floor.
• Drive continuous improvements in generator design manufacturability while maintaining performance, quality, safety, and cost targets.
• Engage early in the design process and participate in design reviews focused on manufacturability.
• Lead resolution of design-to-manufacturing technical issues across rotor, armature core, winding, lamination, and bars.
• Translate engineering requirements into clear direction for manufacturing teams and support implementation.
• Partner with shop operations to resolve nonconformances and lead root cause and corrective actions.
• Identify and mitigate risks in design-to-manufacturing transfer.
• Feed manufacturing lessons learned back into design standards and product improvements.
• Support new product introductions, design changes, and lean/continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards.
• Provide technical support across all three shifts as needed.
