Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Senior Generator Project Engineer to coordinate engineering activities for all generator projects, acting as the technical liaison among customers and EPCs. You will drive continuous improvement, manage change, and guide design teams to meet contract requirements.

The role requires cross-functional collaboration, a focus on schedule integrity, and strong leadership communication. Domestic travel up to 10% is expected, with a path to leadership within project engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university OR a high school diploma/ GED with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Project Engineering, Design Engineering, and/or Field Engineering related to Generator Projects
• Ability and willingness to travel ~10% and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Leadership-quality communication skills, both verbal and written

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous improvement and operational leadership as single point contact for all customer technical inquiries, change requests, and communications for Generator projects.
• Drive lessons learned back into design engineering to avoid repeating issues.
• Provide technical guidance to Project Management and Applications/Regional Customer Applications.
• Conduct Customer Kick-Off Meetings (CKOMs) and Design Liaison Meetings (DLMs) with customers/EPCs.
• Review contract documentation and communicate project requirements to design functions; use internal docs and regular engineering communications.
• Evaluate financial/schedule impacts of scope changes via Change Orders and Change Management Process.
• Support resolution of cross-functional design complexities and technical issues.
• Mitigate engineering schedule issues to prevent delays; manage Engineering Budget and provide EACs to Finance.
• Provide technical support to engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, suppliers, and installation personnel.
