Made in America is seeking a General Manager to lead its Austin-based precision machining facility, owning the site’s financial performance, operations, quality, and commercial execution. You will serve as the primary leader on the ground and partner closely with the CEO to drive strategy and growth.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of leadership in metal manufacturing or related industries.
• Proven track record of managing full P&L responsibility.
• Experience leading precision machining or aerospace/defense preferred.
• Strong ability to scale operations in rapid-growth environments.
• Excellent communication with executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own full P&L for the Austin facility and align targets with operational execution.
• Lead site operations including manufacturing, quality, planning, and scheduling.
• Oversee customer relationships and negotiate to maximize commercial outcomes.
• Drive revenue growth by partnering with sales and leadership on key accounts.
• Act as hands-on leader on the shop floor while engaging with executives.
• Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional team across functions.
• Design organizational structure and talent strategy to scale the business.
• Lead capacity planning and allocate resources to meet demand.
• Establish KPIs and use data to drive performance and decisions.
• Foster a culture of Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement.
• Partner with CEO on site-level strategy and risk/opportunity updates.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
