Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a General Manager III to lead distribution operations, drive cost efficiency, and ensure compliance across multiple sites in the Memphis area. The role emphasizes P&L responsibility, Lean/CI-driven improvements, and strong leadership of Operations Managers and staff.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics operation.
• Strong financial acumen with site-level P&L responsibility preferred.
• Experience in regulated environments and compliance culture required.
• Lean/CI experience is required and valued.
• Experience with Tier 1 WMS implementations (SAP/Manhattan/Blue Yonder) is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations including receiving, storing, and shipping.
• Develop strategies to reduce costs and increase productivity.
• Lead and coach Operations Managers and staff to build a strong team.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and a clean, efficient work environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation, and technology to monitor inventory and metrics.
• Manage vendor relationships and activity within the commercial agreement.
• Prepare reports on performance, inventory, and key metrics for decisions.
• Maintain customer relationships with daily contact and satisfaction focus.
• Own the site P&L and influence it through client relationships.
• Lead Monthly/Quarterly Business Reviews with the customer.
