Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Memphis seeks a General Manager III to support the Life Sciences sector in the greater Memphis area. The role covers multiple operations during a 12–18 month bench period, rotating roughly 3–4 months at each site to gain exposure and prepare for full leadership at a dedicated site.

Senior operations management in regulated warehouses is required, along with P&L oversight, Lean/CI experience, and WMS knowledge (SAP/Manhattan/Blue Yonder).

Qualifications

• Senior manager level experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or logistics operation.
• Strong financial acumen with site-level P&L responsibility.
• Experience in regulated/compliance-driven environments (ISO 13485 preferred).
• Lean/Continuous Improvement experience required.
• WMS experience with SAP, Manhattan, or Blue Yonder.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse processes, minimize costs, and maximize productivity.
• Lead and motivate a team of Operations Managers and staff, providing coaching and support while fostering a strong team culture.
• Ensure safety regulations and company policies are followed; oversee operational and personnel activities to maintain a safe, clean, efficient environment.
• Utilize WMS, automation, and technology to track inventory, monitor performance, and identify areas for improvement.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure cost-effective services under the commercial agreement.
• Prepare and present MB R/QBR to customers, driven by solid team collaboration.
• Site P&L responsibility and customer relationship management to drive profits.
