Job summary

Sompo Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technical Specialist in General Liability to provide technical oversight on primary and excess claims. You will liaise with underwriting, actuaries, and TPAs to manage reserves, analyze loss trends, and drive favorable outcomes.

The role requires extensive GL claims experience, multi-state licensure advantage, and strong negotiation and analytical skills. On-site roles across multiple US offices are available, with a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

5+ years' experience in general liability claims handling with excess claims.
Licensed adjuster(s) across multiple states is a plus.
Strong negotiating, analytical, written and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

Handle Sompo Casualty claims (primary and excess) and related systems/processes.
Provide technical oversight to TPA claim handlers and supervisors.
Adhere to client-specific claim handling guidelines and provide coverage analysis.
Manage counsel; develop strategies to control expenses and resolve litigated claims.
Establish reserves; analyze loss trends and implement improvement plans.
Ensure timely, accurate claim data entry and diary maintenance.
Represent Sompo in meetings/negotiations and support renewal activities.
