Sedgwick Claims Management Services in the United States is seeking a General Liability Adjuster to oversee end-to-end handling of complex CGL claims. You will analyze policy language, manage litigated files, and negotiate settlements while coordinating with clients and defense counsel.

The role requires 5+ years in CGL claims, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work across multi‑jurisdictional exposures. Excellent communication and documentation are essential.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction(s) handled.
• Minimum of 5+ years of commercial general liability claims handling experience required; experience with litigated and construction-related claims strongly preferred.

Mansioni

• Independently investigate and manage a full caseload of CGL claims, including premises liability, slip and fall, product liability, construction defect and construction-related losses, and contractual liability exposures.
• Drive timely claim resolution through proactive file management, strategic planning, and adherence to best practices in diary management and documentation.
• Analyze complex policy language, including insuring agreements, endorsements, exclusions, and limits to determine coverage applicability; draft clear coverage position letters.
• Conduct comprehensive liability investigations, including review of incident reports, contracts, leases, indemnification provisions, and other documents; establish reserves.
• Manage litigated files, including the retention and direction of defense counsel; participate in mediations and settlements.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority; assess settlement value based on liability, damages, venue, and risks.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer opportunities, coordinating with coverage counsel and carriers.
• Maintain proactive, professional communication with insureds, claimants, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Maintain thorough file documentation and ensure compliance with regulations and client instructions.
