Job summary

Sedgwick seeks a seasoned claims examiner to investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve complex general liability claims, including litigated matters, with a focus on timely resolution, cost containment, and regulatory compliance. You will manage high-exposure claims and coordinate with defense counsel and clients.

The role emphasizes proactive communication with claimants and stakeholders, development of action plans, and maintaining accurate documentation and reserves.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of claims handling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Experience handling complex general liability claims preferred.
• Litigation management experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and manage complex general liability claims from inception to resolution.
• Conduct thorough investigations to determine liability and damages.
• Develop claim action plans to drive timely outcomes.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority.
• Maintain claim reserves throughout the life of the claim.
