The position focuses on end-to-end claim handling, from investigation to settlement, with emphasis on strategy, client reporting, and quality compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; Adjuster licensing as required by jurisdiction(s).
• Minimum 5+ years of CG liability claims handling experience; litigated and construction-related claims preferred.
• Strong understanding of CGL coverage, policy interpretation, and jurisdictional differences.
• Experience managing litigated claims and working with defense counsel.
• Knowledge of construction defect, additional insured coverage, and risk transfer strategies.
• Ability to assess liability, damages, and exposure in complex loss scenarios.
• Strong negotiation and settlement skills; excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Independently investigate and manage a full caseload of CGL claims including premises liability, slip and fall, product liability, and construction-related losses.
• Analyze policy language, endorsements, exclusions, and limits to determine coverage applicability; draft coverage position letters.
• Review incident reports, contracts, leases, and indemnification provisions; evaluate reserves and damages.
• Manage litigated files, directing defense counsel and overseeing litigation plans, budgets, and discovery.
• Negotiate settlements within delegated authority balancing cost containment and risk exposure.
• Identify and pursue risk transfer opportunities; coordinate with carriers and third parties for recovery.
• Maintain proactive communication with insureds, claimants, brokers, clients, and internal stakeholders.
