Job summary

Travelers in Richardson, Texas seeks an experienced General Liability Claims professional to investigate, evaluate, reserve, and resolve Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. You will participate in roundtables, manage litigation plans, and collaborate with field partners to improve outcomes.

Requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of bodily injury claim handling or related litigation, with strong negotiation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Two years bodily injury liability claim handling experience or comparable litigation.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills; effective written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Directly handles assigned severe claims.
• Provides quality customer service and ensures file quality and timely coverage analysis and communication with insured.
• Consults with Manager on use of Claim Coverage Counsel as needed.
• Directly investigate each claim through prompt and strategic contact with policyholders, claimants and stakeholders to determine liability and damages.
• Maintains claim files and documents claim file activities.
• Establishes and maintains proper indemnity and expense reserves.
• Negotiates disposition of claims with insureds and claimants or their legal representatives.
