Job summary

Davies North America seeks a General Liability Claims Adjuster for a home-based role in the United States. You will investigate coverage, liability and damages, negotiate with contractors, attorneys, and adjusters, and maintain reserves and large loss reporting while coordinating with your manager and clients.

Qualified candidates will have 5-7 years of CGL claims experience, an Adjuster license (NY preferred) or willingness to obtain, excellent written and verbal communication, strong time

• 5-7 years of experience handling commercial general liability claims.
• Adjuster license required; NY preferred or willing to obtain additional licenses.
• Proactive, independent, dependable and takes initiative with follow-through.
• Superb written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and deadline-driven.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with good interpersonal skills.
• High attention to detail with sound decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and settle large exposure commercial general liability and property claims.
• Prepare written status and large loss reports for clients.
• Interpret routine and complex policy contracts and coverage.
• Plan, organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences as necessary.
• Direct and monitor defense counsel to settle litigated claims and provide strategy.
• Be aware of current case law, statutory law and regulations relevant to claims.
• Determine, evaluate, investigate and resolve claims.
• Demonstrate sound analytical skills.
• Other duties as assigned.
