Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA seeks a licensed adjuster to investigate and manage General Liability claims, handling them end-to-end while meeting service levels and legal requirements. You will be the primary interface with associates, attorneys, healthcare providers, and vendor partners.

The role supports a hybrid work schedule with in-person days at core locations and remote days, and requires authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Qualifications

• Licensed adjuster (as appropriate by jurisdiction)
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience handling General Liability claims
• Thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, statutes, and procedures pertaining to general liability claims
• Knowledge of medical terminology involved in complex claims
• Negotiates resolution of claims of various exposure and complexity

Responsibilities

• Manage caseload within established targets and appropriate level; ensure thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiation and disposition of claims
• Monitor and ensure timely execution of statutory deadlines and legal filings
• Analyze facts of the loss to develop strategies and mitigate total cost of risk
• Identify fraud indicators and pursue subrogation opportunities
• Collaborate with Safety department to identify hazards and minimize risks
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
