Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking a General Liability Claims professional to investigate, manage, and resolve claims across our nationwide operations. The role interfaces with associates, attorneys, healthcare providers, and brand partners to ensure timely, compliant resolutions.

This position supports a flexible/hybrid schedule with 1 in-person day and 4 remote days, based in Salisbury, NC; Scarborough, ME; Carlisle, PA; or Quincy, MA.

Qualifications

• Licensed adjuster as appropriate by jurisdiction.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience handling General Liability claims.
• Thorough knowledge of rules, regulations, statutes, and procedures pertaining to general liability claims.
• Knowledge of medical terminology involved in complex claims.
• Negotiates resolution of claims of various exposure and complexity.

Responsibilities

• Investigate General Liability claims to determine liability exposure and manage the claim lifecycle.
• Manage caseload within established targets and authority limits; conduct thorough investigations, evaluations, negotiations, and disposition of claims.
• Monitor and meet statutory deadlines or legal filings as needed.
• Identify fraud indicators and actively pursue subrogation opportunities.
• Collaborate with Safety, Brands, and internal/external partners to mitigate risk and resolve claim issues.
