Job summary

AvonRisk is seeking an Adjuster III to investigate, evaluate, and settle general liability and auto claims, handling medium to complex matters with guidance to less experienced staff.

This fully remote role prefers candidates in California; regular travel for mediations and hearings may exceed two hours each way. License where applicable and five years of claims experience, including litigated claims, are required to join AvonRisk.

Qualifications

• Four-year college degree preferred.
• At least five years’ experience with insurance claims, self-insurance, pooled insurance, or JPAs, including two years with litigated claims.
• Appropriate adjuster license where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyze, and adjust assigned claims including general liability and auto.
• Coordinate with clients, claimants, witnesses, and experts to gather facts and supporting research.
• Manage reserves and settlement decisions; direct defense counsel as needed.
• Maintain case documents and status reports for clients and internal teams.
